Summary:
I Can Do Bad is about a singer named April who believes that her life is perfect. She sings in a club and has a pimp supporting her at home. The next thing she knows, she gets stuck with her sister’s three kids and an immigrant living in her basement. Time after time, April makes the same mistakes and pushes people away from her. She also hurts those who love her most. Over time, she finds out the true meaning of love and what real family is.
The movie has a great plot and is based on real life events. It was a little emotional when April's mother died, and since I'm very emotional...I did sort of cry. The cast did an amazing job. Personally, I felt that the songs in the movie were just a little to long, but still a nice touch. The best part in the movie had to be when April snapped and shocked Randy (her 'pimp'). That was hilarious. Madea trying to teach April's niece how to pray had tears rolling down my face. The movie is interesting and is a must see for people of all ages.
I Rate It: 3.5/5
