Recently Released: Fame

Review By: Morgan

Rated: PG

Based on the hit 1980 musical of the same name, Fame follows the lives of ten teenagers who have been accepted into the prestigious New York School of the Performing Arts, from freshman year to graduation.

In all honesty, it wasn't anything special. The writing was VERY lazy. In terms of characters, you didn't really see much in terms of their development. It's kind of hard to believe that these students will be able to cope in the 'real world' of their respective industries, except for a couple who magically became perfect, just like that *snaps fingers*. The plot line was very predictable, and I wasn't the only member of my party who nearly dozed off on more than one occasion.

I do have to say, the ending scene was amazing and very touching, but overall, I'm sad to say that Fame really lives up to the old adage 'the remake is never as good as the original'.

I Graded It: 1/5
